Privacy Policy

What we store
Thaparians stores only the minimum data required to operate the service: your Google account ID, email address, display name, and profile picture URL. All chat messages are end-to-end encrypted — we store only ciphertext and metadata (sender ID, room ID, timestamp, message size).
What we cannot see
We cannot read the content of your messages. Private keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device. Even with full database access, message content is indecipherable without your device keys.
Metadata
We can see: who sent a message, to which room, at what time, and the approximate size. This metadata is used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and audit logging. It is never sold or shared with third parties.
Data retention
Messages are retained until deleted by the sender or purged by the 30-day attachment lifecycle policy. Account data is retained until you request deletion. Audit logs are retained for 90 days.
